Bengal Fisheries Ltd. – a pioneer Joint Venture company established in 1979 between Taiyo Fishes Ltd. and Mitsui & Company of Japan and A.K. Khan & Company & Pacific Traders Ltd. of Bangladesh. The company is involved in the deep sea fishing sector catching, processing and packaging on board of Shrimps for export. In the meantime, Taiyo Fishes Ltd was renamed as Maruha Corporation and subsequently, merged with Nichiro Corporation and formed Maruha Nichiro Corporation.
