Rediscovering Bangladesh 2016

In our journey of rediscovering Bangladesh, this year we embark on some of the scenic beauties of Bangladesh-the land of harmony and festivals, colors of joy and celebrations. Bangladesh is a small country of 55,598 sq miles but with a vibrant population of nearly 160 million people, her the largest in the world. With such high density of people, her land still remains contained and limited. Nature embraces her in many ways from the warm summer to the severe cyclones and from the monsoon rains which engulfs her for months to the short spell of winter which brings calmness to the land.

Our Journey stars from rural Tamabil in Sylhet to the stunning sunsets in Kuakata, Patuakhali – this year’s journey to rediscover Bangladesh is truly unique within which we have the pristine waters of sangu river in Bandarbans to fishing festival on Arial Khan river in Narshingdi. We have captured some of her other beauties at Hajampara sea beach at Cox’s Bazar to the colorful Rakher Upobas Festival at Swamibagh in Dhaka. From the rural area of Tamabil in Sylhet to Jessore in the southwest- beauties out of the many, and each season bringing a different look to the land and her people.

Ethnic and religious festivals speak of the diversity of our people and harmony engraved in its culture and tradition- this harmony sparks the Bengali spirit of tolerance, which also evolver through the beautiful land that has given its people bountiful resources to live in peace and tranquility for many centuries; and today, we witness the true Bangladesh which depicts peace and tranquility not in words but in colors.
